Verstappen takes his 14th win of 2023

Red Bull's Max Verstappen won the Italian Grand Prix at Monza on Sunday, extending his lead in the Formula 1 World Championship.

Verstappen dominated the race

Verstappen started from pole position and never looked back, leading every lap of the race. He finished ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton.

Verstappen's victory was his 14th of the season, and it moved him 116 points clear of Leclerc in the championship standings. Hamilton is now 128 points behind Verstappen.

The Italian Grand Prix was the 14th round of the 2023 season. The next race will be the Singapore Grand Prix on October 2.
