Gangwon to Host Fourth Winter Youth Olympic Games

The 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games will be held in Gangwon, South Korea, from January 19 to February 2, 2024. This will be the fourth edition of the Winter Youth Olympic Games, and the first to be held in Asia. The Games will be held in the same venues that were used for the 2018 Winter Olympics, which were held in PyeongChang, South Korea.
The 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games will feature over 1,000 athletes from over 70 countries competing in 15 sports. The sports include alpine skiing, biathlon, bobsled, cross-country skiing, curling, figure skating, freestyle skiing, ice hockey, luge, Nordic combined, short track speed skating, skeleton, ski jumping, snowboarding, and speed skating.
The 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games are expected to be a major sporting event, and they will provide a great opportunity for young athletes to compete on the world stage. The Games will also be an important opportunity for Gangwon to promote itself as a winter sports destination.
