Germany's Rich Olympic History
Germany has a long and successful Olympic history, having hosted three Olympic Games in 1936 (both the Winter and Summer Games) and the 1972 Summer Olympics. The country has also competed in the Summer Olympics consistently since 1952, and will make its eighteenth consecutive appearance at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Germany Prepares for the 2024 Summer Olympics
The German National Olympic Committee is actively preparing for the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The Games will be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024. Germany will compete alongside Australia, Japan, and Canada, as well as two other qualifiers. Notably, the United States will not start competition until Day 2.
Preserving the Olympic Legacy
In addition to preparing for the upcoming Games, the German Olympic Committee is also working to preserve the memory of the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin. The website for the committee features official videos, results, galleries, and information about the sports and athletes that participated.
